Basketball Program

Under the leadership of Sayeed Ramnath, our PS 166 site supervisor, the Arts and Athletics basketball program has expanded to include basketball for classes for a wide range of ages at all three of our sites, regular games between our schools, and now a Summer Basketball Camp that will really help children improve their skills!

The Arts and Athletics Basketball League

Children love to play the game and it’s even more fun when you can play real games against students from different schools. With this in mind, we have scheduled basketball at our three sites–PS 9, PS 84, and PS 166–so that the Arts and Athletics basketball league can have a regular schedule of games. It’s fun to play against your friends, but it’s more fun (and more challenging) to play against people you’ve never met before!

Summer Basketball Camp at PS 9

Basketball Camp with Mr. Sayeed for players in grades 3 to 5. This summer, from July 15th to 19th, Sayeed and his coaches will host a basketball camp at PS 9 focusing on skills, agility, and physical conditioning. With regulation courts and an air conditioned gym, it will be a great place to work on your game. In addition to lots of basketball, Sayeed and his crew will take the campers to the pool, out into the park, and enjoy lots of other summer camp adventures. The cost is $600 for the week and includes all activities. Player bring their own lunch. To register through MINDBODY click here.
