French This Spring!!

We offer a number of French Programs in person and at home! Learn French in a fun and interactive way with Ms. Corinne

Corinne has been an French educator since 2010, teaching students of all ages! She pursued a masters degree in TESOL to further her understanding of second language acquisition and make language learning attainable and fun! She loves to lead lessons based on student interests and motivations, adding in flair from her upbringing with her French mother through childhood songs and games. You may find her teaching a French lesson online or using it as part of our outdoor program in Central Park. She’s also a certified yoga teacher and has completed over 900hours in training. Her favorite part about teaching yoga to little ones is being able to dive into their imaginary worlds and see them discover new movements and philosophies!  When she’s not with Art’s and Athletics leading French and yoga classes, she’s teaching private French lessons, practicing yoga, Zooming game nights with friends, and taking care of her cat, Minou! 

Arts and Athletics offer French programs in person and online! Learn this wonderful language while engaging while having lots of fun.

French Immersion Outdoor Program Tuesday and Friday 2:00-5:00 pm

L’aventure en plein air
Join us in the park for this full-immersion French adventure where we maintain the original essence of the outdoor adventure program philosophy where the role of a teacher is to accompany, observe and document the children’s activities from behind the scenes asking open-ended questions about the important discoveries of the day, thus allowing children to share a deep connection with nature and their peers by owning their space and experiences in French.

Live Zoom Classes

Live Zoom Class: French with w/ Ms. Corinne Monday 4:00-5:00 pm ( K-5 )
The class enables each student to become fluent rapidly in simple phrases and sentences on subjects such as greetings, describing the weather, naming simple objects at home and outside, basic clothing and food, days of the week, months, seasons, and numbers. Emphasis is put on a direct speaking approach. From experience, online is very good for learning to speak because language is mainly sound connected to everyday activities. We will also do the writing of simple words and sentences.
