Sarah Jane Martin (SJ) is a published fiction writer with a background in education, and creative and therapeutic arts. She has taught lots of fun classes with the Arts and Athletics afterschool over the years. These include creative writing, movie-making, mythology, art in nature, drawing and clay art. Drawing & Comics with SJ–Wednesdays 3:15 to 4:15
Draw your favorite characters, learn new skills, interact with friends, and share your work. This class explores the fundamentals of drawing and visual storytelling (comics and cartoons). Learn how shading, proportion and perspective can bring your unique projects to life. At the end of this class, put your work together and create your own comic book or magazine!

Class Materials
Essentials: Blank white paper, sharp pencils, eraser, stapler, glue stick, markers and/ or colored pencils. Optional for students who wish to get creative with collage: colored paper, magazines, scraps and other fun crafting supplies.
