Summer Chess Camp at PS 9

have summer fun while playing chess at PS 9 (84th St and Columbus ave)!

Have fun improving your chess game over the summer! Arts and Athletics’ summer 2019 Chess Camp will be held from Monday, July 1st through Friday, August 16th at PS 9. FIDE Master, Ecuadorian National Champion, and experienced chess instructor, Raul Marquez, leads instruction for chess players of all experience levels.

This camp is open to all Arts and Athletics afterschool students in grades K and up. Students should have an understanding of basic chess moves.

Chess Camp will be closed on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day.

Program Details:

Chess Camp will be held from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm

$120 per day

Space is limited to 20 students per day

Located at PS 9 (100 W 84th St, at the corner of 84th St and Columbus Ave).

Lunch and recess will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Campers should wear weather appropriate shoes, clothing, and sunscreen. Campers bring their own lunch.
